Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and fold with spatula or stir gently with a spoon until just combined; don’t overmix.
4 Fold in the grated apple and chocolate chips gently to combine.
5 Turn batter out into the prepared pan, smoothing the top lightly with a spatula.
6 Bake for 45 minutes, then add tented foil to cover the pan to prevent over browning. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the center is set. Insert a toothpick to the center to see if it comes out clean.
7 Allow bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and serve.
