Goldilocks Oatmeal

  1. In a medium pot bring water, salt and butter to a boil.

  2. Bring heat down to medium and add the quick oats, sugar and cinnamon. Stir and allow to simmer for 2 minutes.

  3. Add milk (or cream) to the pot and stir well. Allow to simmer for 1-2 minutes more or until desired thickness is reached. (NOTE: If it gets too thick, feel free to add more water or milk)

  4. Divide the oatmeal among 4 bowls. Top each bowl with desired amount of raisins.

Note

The oatmeal will continue to thicken as it stands.
