In a medium saucepan add the water, garlic, ginger and turmeric powder. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Prepare two mugs, each with 1 tsp honey and half a lemon juiced.
Once the turmeric tea has completed simmering, use a strainer to strain into a bowl. Divide the strained tea among the two prepared mugs. Stir and drink immediately.
Ginger: Boosts immunity, aids with digestion, promotes gut health and eases joint pain. Ginger also helps fight against a cold or flu.
Garlic: Has antibiotic properties. Promotes digestion and flushes toxins from the body. Garlic also prevents you from getting a cold or flu.
Turmeric: Contains antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Helps ward off the cold or flu and strengthens your immune system.
After drinking this tea, I will also do the following to help boost my immune system or get rid of a cold/flu faster.
1. Drink a glass of lemon water (squeeze half a lemon into a glass and fill with cold water).
2. Drink a glass of Chai Tea with 1 tsp of honey.
3. Chew 1 thin slice of fresh ginger (clears the sinuses and kills bacteria).
